Happy Monday my friends. I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend. Mine was a ton of fun, as we attended a costume party. I hadn't dressed up for Halloween in a couple of years, but now that I'm a mom, it was fun coordinating a costume with the twins. You can see a photo of us in our costumes here.
Being a stay at home mom, my wardrobe has become very casual over the last couple of years. You'll mostly find me wearing jeans and a tee shirt, or sweater, on any given day. But that doesn't mean that I don't like wearing dresses. In fact, I miss wearing them, so whenever I get the chance, I make sure to put one on. Because I don't get to wear them very often, it's important to me that when I buy a new dress, I am able to style it in several ways. I've shown you before how I like to pair dresses with jeans (here), and today I'm showing you how I style one as a skirt. It was the bottom of this dress that I fell in love with when I bought it, so it was only natural that when I added a cozy sweater, it turned into the perfect skirt and top combo. I finished my look with my OTK boots (I told you I'd be living in them this fall/winter) and my camel coat for a look that can take me from day to night.

This loom is perfection, one of the best ever. I especially love it with the stunning over-sized camel coat over it. Your earrings, bag, sweater and especially coat and dress are all beautiful. I used to own a similar Foley+Corina bag but it got stolen. =(
ReplyDeleteHave a most fabulous November and happy Monday my friend! And that photo of you and the boys, super adorable!!! <3
P.S. I will e-mail you a little later today for a fun idea I have in mind. Thanks.

You really are BRILLIANT!!!! I LOVE the flirty hem of the "skirt" and the chunky knit over the top! Girl, you have inspired my fall wardrobe!!! I am new to being home and some days I just don't wanna get dressed BUT how simple is a skirt dress and a sweater - takes the same amount of effort AND looks polished and pulled together!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's always important to me to get multiple uses out of my dresses!
DeleteLove your over the knee boots!
