I don't watch a ton of television, but each season I have one show that I get addicted to where I'll freak out if I miss an episode. First it was My So Called Life, then I believe it was The O.C., followed by Gossip Girl, Revenge and currently my favorite show is Younger. I remember last spring when Revenge came to an end, I called my sister complaining about how I didn't have a series to watch. That's when I kept seeing commercials for the show Younger on TV Land, and decided to give it a shot. I'm so happy I did, as I was addicted after the first episode! Lets just say I binged watched every episode on demand, since I started watching late in the season, and was caught up in two days! I almost cried when I found out Younger wouldn't be returning again until January 2016 (I know, sad). Well, the time has come.... season two is premiering tonight at 10 pm on TV Land and I couldn't be more excited!
If you're not familiar with Younger, then I highly recommend you become acquainted! The show is based on the novel "Younger" by Pamela Redmond Satran, and follows Liza Miller (played by Sutton Foster), a 40 year old divorced mother, who after being being out of the working world, is trying to get back into a career in publishing. This is when she discoverers it's nearly impossible to get hired for an entry level position at her age. After being hit on by a 20-something guy in a bar, who is convinced that Liza is much younger than she is, Liza decides to pass herself off as a 26 year-old. With a makeover from her best friend, Maggie (played by Debi Mazr), she lands a job as an assistant in a publishing firm, and becomes friends with her 26 year-old co-worker Kelsey (played by Hilary duff) while trying to make the career of her dreams. The show has it all: comedy, romance, drama, and fashion. After all, Patricia Fields (Sex and the City's costume designer) is the costume consultant on the production.
Today's look is inspired by the show Younger. I love how adding a graphic tee and leather jacket to this midi skirt gives it an edgy, and younger vibe (you can see how I last styled this skirt here). I finished my look with gold jewelry and blush pumps, but can easily swap my pumps for a pair of lace up flats for a causal, everyday look.

I can't wait to see what's in store for Liza this season, and see if she'll be able to keep her secret. Make sure to tune into the season two premier of Younger tonight at 10/9c pm on TV Land. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

I love this outfit head to toe. I have never heard of this TV show, Younger, before but it sounds fantastic. I love the story line you described. I love that you got some outfit inspiration from it as well. I will have to start watching the first season so that I can watch the second season. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Have a wonderful day!

I loved seeing so many of my favorite bloggers style this YOUNGER tee a couple of weeks ago. I must say though your look is my favorite. So glam, feminine, sexy and Sex and the City inspired. Love the skirt, pumps and that layered dainty gold necklace. I just started watching the show too, thanks to you bloggers. It is great. =)
