Boyfriend Jeans

I wasn't lying when I said that I have been living in this stripe top.  I'm not normally one to wear the same shirt, or any piece of clothing, two days in a row, but this top is so comfortable, and not to mention cute, that I have not taken it off.  I showed you in my last post how I dressed up this top with a skirt (seen here), and today I'm sharing how I restyled it with my boyfriend jeans for a casual, weekend look. 

Which brings me to boyfriend jeans.  You all know about my obsession with jeans, since I wear them in most posts on this blog, but my boyfriend jeans have recently become my favorite pairs to wear.  Not only do I find them extremely comfortable (yes, almost as comfy as my sweats),  but I believe they are the ultimate cool girl's denim.  I love how they have a relaxed vibe when paired with a tee and sneakers, or how you can add a tailored blazer and pumps for a stylish, yet put together look.

The key to pulling of boyfriend jeans is finding the right fit.  If they are too baggy, then they tend to look sloppy, so I like a pair that is slightly slouchy (also known as the girlfriend fit).  Since most boyfriend jeans tend to run on the larger side, you want to buy them a size or two smaller than what you normally wear, which will give you that perfect fit.  Some of my favorite pairs (which I linked at the bottom of this post) are the Josefina by 7 for all Mankind,  Paige Jimmy Jimmy (which you can last see me wearing here and here), The Beau by AG, and The Boyfriend by Current Elliott.  The pair that I am wearing in these photos is from Blank Denim, and is not actually a boyfriend jean.  I ordered them a size larger than I normally wear, and it gave me that perfect slouchy fit.
