Happy FriYay! I feel like I've been using that term a lot, but I really mean it this time. If you have been following along for the past month, whether on the blog or Snapchat (Rach480), you know that August hasn't been my best month. Between the twins being sick, then getting head lice (what a nightmare), followed by myself being sick this past week, let's just say that we didn't get a chance to enjoy the last month of summer. The good news is that we are all better, and excited to enjoy Labor Day weekend to its fullest. We'll be heading to the lake to soak up the very last of summer with friends and family. Let's just hope that hurricane Hermine misses us, because that would be just my luck to have it rain all weekend.
Now that we've entered September, I wanted to share a look that will take you straight into the fall, wearing my favorite color pallet: neutrals. This beige drape coat makes the perfect transitional piece. Not only does it pair well with everything from jeans to dresses, but it is lightweight, adding just the right amount of warmth. I love how it dresses up my jeans and tank top, making my look more polished, while the beige color softens up my black and grey attire. I finished my outfit with my favorite gold jewelry, for a perfect neutral look. That's what I love about neutrals, they go with every color, but mixing different neutrals together adds a fun contrast to an otherwise achromatic look.
Coat: c/o SheIn| Jeans: Citizens of Humanity| Tank: Splendid | Booties: Zara (similar here)| Bag: Chloé| Sunnies: Karen Walker via Ditto (get your first month free with the code THREADSFORTHOMAS)| Bracelets: Vita Fede (here and here), David Yurman (here and here)| Necklaces: Sarah Chloe (here and here), Gorjana long necklace

We have two feature bloggers this week! Jules from Jules in Flats and Lindsay from Stiletto in the Cloud. I'm loving Jules' green dress, and all her summer looks, and Lindsay couldn't have chosen a more perfect fall outfit. Make sure to stop by their blogs and say hello.
Such a lovely neutral outfit - that trench looks like such a nice layering piece.

I literally had to stop reading at head lice! That is seriously my worst nightmare! I have a severe phobia of parasitic bugs...for real. Nightmares for days! Ugh. I am so sorry you had to deal with that.
ReplyDeleteBut on a lighter note, you look fabulous! I love this outfit for transition into fall. The booties are so chic and the trench is amazing. Really gorgeous outfit!

I ADORE this outfit! I almost picked this neutral coat from SheIn, too! Great minds. I've never tried Citizen denim but I saw some at Nordstrom Rack the other day! - how do they run? I'll have to try them. I'm glad that the lice/sickness nightmare is over. If it helps, you look fab and unfazed! Have an amazing weekend!
