Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was great, as I disconnected from social media and spent the time catching up with my girlfriends. It was definitely much needed. Between work and blogging, then getting wrapped up in my kid's lives, I sometimes go weeks without talking to my girlfriends. They are such important women in my life, and I'm working on balancing all of my relationships better. Now I'm gearing up for a big snowstorm, which I am not happy about. I'm just praying that the warm weather with shortly follow, and the all snow will melt fast!
Because I'm beyond ready for spring to arrive, I have been transitioning my wardrobe for the warmer weather by adding lighter colors to my closet, especially blush. I love the feminine feel of the soft pink color, and how it can easily lighten up any look for spring. I recently got this blush lace up skirt, and know that I will be living in it when spring actually arrives. Not only can I see myself dressing it up for a date night out, but I love that it can be worn casually with a white tee and sandals. For these photos I decided to go for a dressier look by pairing it with a white crochet blouse. I love the romantic and feminine feel the crochet blouse gave when combined with the lace up skirt. However, because it was freezing here this past weekend, I threw on a long blush cardigan. Normally I would have finished this outfit with tights and over the knee boots, but since I am being stubborn for spring to arrive, I went with bare legs and flats, and froze to death!
