Although spring has officially arrived (even though it doesn't feel like it here in New England), and summer is fast approaching, I'm still adding new sweaters to my wardrobe. The truth is, I wear sweaters ALL YEAR LONG. As someone who is consistently cold, I can never have enough, and spring/summer sweaters happen to be my favorite! Take this scoop back sweater for example. Although it's technically not a summer sweater, it would not keep me warm in the winter. Between the cropped fit and open back, I would be freezing. However, on a cool summer's night, this would give me the perfect amount of warmth. In addition to the scoop back and cropped cut, I'm loving the raw edge hem. Whether paired with jeans, high rise denim shorts, or thrown over a sundress for extra warmth, this sweater will be on repeat all spring and summer.
Now let's talk about these shoes. I saw them on Leah from Eat Pray Wear Love, and needed them in my closet. I'm a huge fan on wearing white pumps, and this pair makes a great dupe to the Céline V Neck Pump. You can't beat the price at under $40.

Rachael, this sweater is really cute! And I am loving the lace bralette exposed in the back. Perfectly styled with your super distressed denim and the shoes are fabulous! I have a feeling I will be wearing sweaters often this summer as the perimenopausal cold flashes are killing me! I guess I need to start adding some summer ones to my wardrobe.

Love EVERYTHING about your outfit, Rachael!! But your shoes. And that delicate gold necklace, they're such pretty accents xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove how that sweater looks with the bralette! I've been trying to find summer pieces that show off bralettes as well, and a light sweater would be a nice option for cooler nights like you mentioned.

I love that sweater, and I love that the bralette peaks out from the back of the sweater. I am willing it to be warmer here too, I'll accept 50/60 degrees for Spring!
ReplyDeleteI tend to wear sweaters year round too. This one is perfect for summer, I love the cut of the hem!

Such a fab street look dear! You really can't go wrong with grey sweater, it's so versatile. You made it look effortlessly fabulous with those gorgeous heels and sunnies! The distressed jeans is such a cute street touch.

I wear sweaters and longsleeve tops year round too! I have a few thicker sweaters I put away for summer, but most of mine stay out because the AC always makes me freeze! This is a great sweater for warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is so cute! I love how you styled it.
