Do you dress up for the holidays? I love a formal gathering, but unless I'm headed to my husband's work party or a local gala, you'll find me on the casual side during the holiday season. At our family gatherings, I'll most likely be wearing jeans or leggings instead of a dress. However, that doesn't mean that I don't like to look put together. When dressing for the holidays, I like to take my everyday items, and take them up a notch. This outfit is a perfect example, and what I plan on wearing to our family Hanukkah celebration this weekend. Black jeans are my favorite to wear during the holidays because they tend to look dresser to begin with, then you can make them appear more polished with the right blouse or sweater, and accessories (the same goes for a pair of black leggings). This red sweater is actually from my latest Stitch Fix shipment, and is perfect for the holiday season. The boxy cut is very comfortable, while the boat neck adds a dressier feel, plus you can't go wrong with the color! I paired it with my paint splattered black jeans, which I also got from Stitch Fix last year (see them styled here). The silver splatters give off a sparkle illusion, making them the perfect pant for the holiday season. I finished my look with my studded pumps, which are still the most comfortable heels that I own, and some statement jewelry.
Although there were several items that I loved in my Stitch Fix shipment this month, this sweater is the only item that I ended up keeping. I love how it can be dressed up, but is also the perfect everyday sweater. In fact, I've already styled it with skinny jeans and leopard booties for a cute weekend look. To see the rest of the items that were in my Fix, make sure to check out my Instagram Stories. I saved the try on session under the Stitch Fix Highlight.
On another note, the Weekend Wear Link Up will be taking a break until after the holiday season. Melissa, Sheree and I just have too much gong on in our personal lives to commit to hosting every Friday and decided it's best to pause it until after the new year. Although I may not post every Friday, I still have fun content coming this month, so make sure to stop back!

I just received my very first shipment from Stitch Fix! My first box wasn't all love, but I know the stylist needs a little time to get to know me. I love the sweater you kept, and those jeans still make me think sequins at first glance, they're so pretty!
