Happy first day of spring! Although the weather is finally starting to warm up in New England, I catch myself day dreaming about being back in the Dominican Republic. I can't wait until I get to wear little sundress again, and spend my days on the water. Whether you're headed on vacation yourself, or want to get a start on your summer wardrobe, I'm sharing some of my vacation outfits, along with the best swimsuits that I found this season. Most are mom friendly, and under $50!
The swimsuit shown above is my absolute favorite. It's by Trina Turk, and although over $100, it's worth every penny! Not only is the cut full coverage, but the off-the-shoulder style makes it super stylish, plus it stays in place when chasing around two toddlers. What I love most about this bathing suit, is you can add a skirt or a pair of denim shorts, and it looks like your wearing a top. It's perfect for taking you from the beach to lunch!
This little black dress was the perfect item to pack for vacation, as it's reversible. I was able to wear it on two different nights, and no one knew it was the same dress! Plus I love that it can be dressed up or down. You can see it styled both ways here.
This is another one piece suit that I'm loving, and it also happens to be a Target find. The smocked waist is super flattering, and the deep V-neckline is sexy without being too revealing. I love wearing kimonos as cover-ups, and this fringe one is under $15. I'm also linking some other great kimono finds below.
I'm obsessed with this leopard suit! I had seen it on some other bloggers, and actually had no intention of buying it for myself. However, when I was in the store and saw that the top came in a size large enough for my chest, I gave it a try, and immediately fell in love. It supports and holds everything in place, while the bottoms are a super high rise, and cover my no-so-perfect stomach. Plus, how adorable is the leopard print?

This isn't the most flattering photo, but I forgot to snap a picture of this bikini when I was at the beach, so a bad mirror selfie will have to do! I found this suit on Amazon, and love the fit. Although the top isn't the most supportive, it is padded (and has adjustable straps) and I love that the ruffle adds great coverage. The bottoms come up nice and high, covering everything that I don't want shown. This bikini is available in several colors and prints, but of course I chose black, which I found really flattering.
I'll be sharing more details of this outfit on blog soon, but wanted to give a you sneak peek of this dress. I love the cut, and it was perfect for a date night at the resort. This is something I see myself wearing with flat sandals for causal look, or dressing up with heels for a summer event.
I didn't take any scenic photos of the resort (Santuarty Capa Cana), and am now regretting it. The resort was absolutely gorgeous, which I hope you can tell from the background of these photos. There were multiples pools to sit by, and the beach was filled with beautiful cabanas. Although the food was your typical all inclusive quality, I have to say that the house wine selections were horrible. If they improved the food and drink quality, it would be a place that I would greatly recommend.

Gorgeous vacation style, Rachael! You look fabulous! I need a little warm weather vacation myself. I think it’s the only way I am going to find warm weather...is somewhere other than this place I live where we are stuck in Winter!
