Each summer, I make sure to have one dress hanging in my closet that I know will be perfect for all of the events I'll be attending. Although I may not wear it to every occasion, it gives me a peace of mind knowing that I have a great option, or backup dress if needed. This cold shoulder mint dress is one I recently added to my wardrobe, and will be this year's summer staple. I got it right before my trip to the Dominican Republic, and couldn't have found a better dress to bring along. I paired it with heels and fun fringe earrings for our last night at the resort. Not only is it the perfect dress for a date night or grabbing cocktails, but it also makes a great wedding guest option. In fact, I have a wedding to attend this summer in Maine, and thinking this will be the dress that I'll wear! It would also be a cute option for a bridal or baby shower. I can also see myself wearing it with a pair of flat sandals and a denim jacket for a daytime look.
The funny thing about these photos, in typical Rachael fashion, is that I'm wearing it the wrong way! It's suppose to be a cold shoulder style! Remember when I did that same thing with my cold shoulder red dress here? I was in a rush to get ready for the night, and when I realized I forgot to put my arms through the ruffles, I didn't bother to fix it, because I actually liked how the dress looked the way I had it styled. That makes me love the dress even more, because you can wear it two ways! I'm loving the mint color for the summer, but it's also available in a light pink, and under $60.

Honestly I like it much better the way you are wearing it! It's more of a classic style, but how fun that it can be worn two ways!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! Wearing it like this makes it more a classic. The off the shoulder is trendy and still fun so this is a great find!
